A journey into melancholy, Desert Life writes songs that explore the darker regions of the heart. With poetic lyricism and emotive arrangements, ‘Let It All Pass’' introduces a new voice to the Welsh music scene, whilst echoing the influences of Ryan Adams, Jeff Tweedy, Bon Iver and R.E.M. Their songs paint a sonic picture of life's highs and lows, the quiet moments of enlightenment, and the aching tug of loneliness.

Let It All Pass serves as a mirror, reflecting life's fleeting moments and deeper questions, inviting listeners to reflect and feel music in the album form.

about

"Hiraeth", a Welsh word that is best described as 'deep longing for something, especially one's home', is a nod to R.E.M.'s "New Orleans Instrumental No. 1" on "Automatic For The People". I loved the ballsyness of having an instrumental in between the 'hits'. It made me realise how an instrumental (on an album) can neatly take the listener to different styles, yet, be an important conduit to the next song. "Hiraeth" is meant to feel uneasy. That's what, for me, longing is all about, especially when thinking about Wales, family, or home. NB: The Melodica that you here is a direct nod to 'Automatic For The People'.
